I am extremely happy and grateful to had an opportunity to play at Towarzyska Cafe. First of all, I think that the venue is just awesome! The location is great, the inside is really nice. It has two floors and it is super big with lots of different rooms that could be adapted into something cool. Besides it has an atmosphere of an old PRL ( communist) building which makes it very unique.
Personally, I believe that the place could be better arranged and it is missing good marketing strategy because even though there were lots of people at our party. there could have been more because the place is just massive. Besides I´ve heard some gossips that usually the place isn´t very full. If there is anybody from the management or owners reading this, I would be glad and happy to help out and give some ideas and strategies I would use 🙂
Before the party started I was walking around the old town (city centre) of Bydgoszcz and I popped to few places. It would have been so easy to just leave some flyers and invite people to come to our party. Additionally we´ve stumbled across some street art which was organised by the studies of Architecture. I loved the idea and I decided to #artthefuckup it. The first piece of box that we found on the street was barely visible due to the light color and I my friend who was with me at the time said ¨look, this is an example of the bad marketing. You can´t see anything ¨ (¨Zobacz Marcelia, to jest przyklad chujowego marketingu¨). Promptly I painted it over because I usually carry my cool markers with me ( which I have thanks to my dear friend Elliot) which was quite naughty, but I first of all I didn´t really care – I wanted people to know about the party and fill our dance floor and it was just in the centre where everybody sees it. Second of all it´s the street art and if you leave a piece of something on the street you can expect it´s gonna get some attention from people like me and for me if I was organiser that would be cool.
